Tornadoes and snowballs











Remember the discussion we were having yesterday about how a tornado is made. We were talking about how a snowball is similar in



that it gets bigger and bigger as it is rolled down a hill. A tornado can build up strength and power as more wind is caught up in it. When the hot air that is rising mixes with the cold air above with the different directions of wind, it causes a tornado to form and increase in strength.




So as promised here is a photo of Josh and his friends efforts to make a giant snowball.

  3. I reckon the snow ball was about the same height as Josh. He is is almost 6 foot tall.
