Student Led Conferences

Hi class,

Mr T here. This year we are going to get you guys to share your learning with your whanau. So instead of having parent interviews we are going to have "Student Led Conferences." You may be wanting to know what that is all about. Well in a nutshell, it means that you as students will be sharing your learning with your families rather than me as your teacher. You will be taking a booklet home to share with your family so they have some ideas what this is all about and what to expect. Here is a video from another school who have tried it and have interviewed the students to get their feedback on it. Enjoy.

As 2011 comes to an end

I hope you all had a wonderful year. I have thoroughly enjoyed being your teacher this year. Of course, like any year, we have our ups and downs but like I have always said if you stick to your true path you will find what you have been looking for. Sometimes what we have been looking for is just around the corner or is right in front of us. What we need to do is notice it and then take it and use it.

Your life is about your character. How you treat yourself as well as how you treat others. So always remember the Deanwell saying. "You have two hands, one to help yourself and the other the help others."

I hope you have learnt lots, enjoyed lots and continue to be good.

Great Assembly

Do you guys remember when we were on Assembly I thought it was Great. When we sang everyone walked in quietly. The Drama Team preformed I thought everyone was great but me, the Chief Editor, Yeah, I know you know who that is I just don't want to say my name. I hope you liked the drama we did.

Assembly appointment

Well there has been a lot of interest in the speaking role for our assembly on Monday. Some of you have even got into begging for the job but that won't be the reason why I will choose who I choose.

When I am back at school tomorrow I will let you know who one of the people will be and the names of the others will be put in a hat and one name will be drawn out. It will be the responsibility of those two people to make up the script for assembly. Soooooo.......

Kia ora Mr T it's me Tyler I've heard that C4 is on Assembly. I would really reallylove to aply speak at Assembly on Monday the reason why I would like to do it is because i know that I'am a very confident girl and I can handle being in front of a big crowed and that I can use enthusiasem and can speak clearly and slow.
